Bailey’s 1st Hospital Scare…

March 10, 2009

Well we got our 1st medical scare and had to admit Bailey into the hospital on Sunday with a high fever and super fast heart rate of 250! Bailey never cracked a smile which was very unusual and was lifeless with a fever of 103. Our clinic wanted to admit her so off we went!?! She spent the night hooked up to machines while being monitored which meant for a long night for all, especially for Bryn as there was only one spot for parents to sleep.

Today she got some energy back with a normal temp going up and down and is back to the comforts of home. But the sad thing is that she lost her voice an can only whimper…

Bailey is finally relaxing a little in the picture.

Glad to hear Bailey is home and doing much better.Hope Mom and Dad are doing OK. It’s not easy seeing her in a Hospital bed but it does look like she is pretty relaxed. Hope she gets her voice back soon.

Oh NO! Poor Bailey!! HOW SCARY!!!!!!! How is she doing now? Are you two just beside yourselves at this point? Knowing you guys, you’ve remained calm and collected the entire time. I remember when Emmerson was in the NICU for a week. I got about 7 hours sleep total in the ENTIRE WEEK! It is so scary. There is nothing more painful than seeing your baby suffering.
I am praying for all of you. Hopefully you are going home today and getting some rest. Did you invest in an Angle Care monitor? I have to say that it was the best baby product I think I ever bought. Peace of Mind and restful nights were worth the $100. bucks.
Love you guys. Hang in there,
    Maija

    Been there…not fun at all.
She’s a cutie (looks more like mom) and I’m sure consuming all of your time. Enjoy it because the old adage holds true…time flies!

Hope to see you guys soon.
