Wow, the Summer is flying by!
Well, I’m (Bryn) finally getting around to posting an entry…I’ve been talking about it for at least a month. We’ve had a fun and eventful summer so far with lots more fun yet to come.

Stairs twins & Bailey
Bailey had a fun evening with her friend’s Savannah and Brandon (Dana and Cory’s twins) at their house for a bbq with Bryn’s college friends. The twins are almost 3 months older than Bailey.

1st Father's Day!
Ryan got to enjoy his first Father’s Day with Bailey delivering him the newspaper in bed and then mom making him a good breakfast once Bailey went down for her morning nap. We then ventured to the Dahl’s in Seattle (Bryn’s aunt and uncle) for a big Gustafson family get together.
Bailey had lots of fun with her cousins, Meadow and Quincy.

Lake Okanagan in Canada
Over 4th of July, we took a pretty long road trip to the Okanagan region of Canada. We met up with Derek, Nat, Meadow, and Quincy at a State Park on the Washington border and then hit up a few wineries before heading up to Apex Mountain to stay at a hostile for a couple of nights. We had a great time getting away for the weekend but felt a little un-patriotic celebrating the 4th in Canada!

Playing at local Lake Tapps
We’ve definitely had some record heat this July and have needed lots of breaks away from our HOT house. We’ve had the hottest temp EVER on record this last week with our town reaching 106 degrees and our house temperature peaking one night at 96 degrees, with no A/C!!! Bailey has had tons of fun enjoying the outdoors. Here we are at the lake park right by our house.

Swimming pool in backyard
Bailey has also been loving her mini pool in our backyard. I think it’s big enough for both of my arms and that’s about it. She loves splashing around and cooling off before bed.

Standing up
We’re in for it now!!! Bailey is trying to pull herself to stand on just about anything she can get her hands on!!! She has been doing a really funny commando crawl for about a month and just started a real crawl this past week…exactly at 9 months.

Getting into trouble...
She’s also in the stage of trying to get into everything as you can see…

Pt Defiance in Tacoma
We took a day trip to Point Defiance park in Tacoma a couple of weekends ago…again, to escape our hot house and get by the water where it’s cooler.

Food Pucker face
We haven’t agreed on whether she got this face from me or Ryan…I don’t think it’s me!!! She seems to start with the pouty lips and quickly moves right into the Bitter Beer Face!!! It’s quite entertaining!!!

Bitter Beer Face!
That’s all for now. I’d love to say we’ll post updates more often but in all reality once every month or two is probably more realistic for us!
Aloha for now!
Totally CUTE! – We need to get you up on facebook – no doubt you’ve received pressure from others! Hope all is well! Aloha, Uncle Allen
She is growing so much! If you do get on facebook, look me up. We post all our pictures on there for all to see.
Hi Ryan & Bryn,
Thought I’d check out your blog site and see if there was anything new and I sure wasn’t disappointed. Great pictures and that little Bailey is sure growing fast. Rhonda told me she had a great time visiting you. I wish I could be in Minnesota when you get there, but I was there in June and plan on going again in October for Mom’s 90th birthday. Keep up the blogging, I love it. I myself am on Facebook, but can’t get any of my borthers or sisters to join, but I keep up with Steve that way. Adios and Aloha
It has been a fun 2 hours going over all your pictures and how you met, etc. I don’t know if there is some way to save all this stuff so you have it around when Bailey is old enough to read, but she will love seeing and reading it all.
Bryn, these pictures are so precious! Bailey is absolutely adorable and growing so big now! I had to laugh at that sour beer face because Savanna does a face very similar. Because of her fat cheeks, Dan likes to call it her “fat-man-turned-away-from-the-buffet-face”! I also loved the picture of Bailey performing some stretching exercises by the lake. Perhaps she can star in her own baby yoga video and you could start making some money off of her.
We haven’t been doing well at staying in touch but we love to see your pictures from time to time and hope that you are having a wonderful time with your daughter. Aren’t babies just the best?!
